Here's What's Happening
This Summer!
(Pre-registration is required for all activities) 

Design and Make Your Own Tambourine on Wednesday, June 17th at 10:30am for ages 5 and up.  Decorate and make your very own tambourine and then try it out to a few songs before you leave.  Parental help is required.

Teen Practice for Reading at Story Time on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00pm.  Come practice reading the stories and activities you will be sharing with the pre-schoolers tomorrow morning.  Great experience for those who want to pursue a career with children.

Come As Your Favorite Color Story Time on Wednesday, June 24th at 10:30am for ages 3-6.  Enjoy stories, activities, and a craft to take home.  Don't forget to wear your favorite color!

Design and Make Your Own Domroo Drum on Saturday, June 27th at 2:00pm for ages 5 and up.  Come to our craft class and make a cool drum.  Try it out with some music before you leave.  Parental help is required.

Family Fun Night on Tuesday, July 7th at 7:00pm for ages 4 and up.  Join us for lots of fun including sidewalk art, snacks, and of course, the infamous scavenger hunt through the library.

Tween/Teen Name That Tune on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00pm.  Think you know your music?  Come find out at Name That Tune.  We'll play snippets of songs and the first person to guess the correct title wins a point.  Top winner receives a prize!

Who Wants To Be A Ballerina? on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00pm.  Rachael and Elizabeth Waugh will display their costumes and teach wannabe ballerinas some ballet moves to music.  Come and learn what it takes to be a ballerina.  For ages 4-11.

Tween/Teen Tye-Dye With Sharpies on Tuesday, July 10th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  This is so cool you'll have to try it yourself!  Don't forget to bring a t-shirt, pillow case, socks - whatever you want tye-dyed!  Be Creative!

I've Got Rhythm Story Time on Wednesday, July 15th at 10:30am for ages 3 to 6.  Little ones will get movin' with musical stories, songs and a craft.

Teen Trash Sculpture Day on Friday, July 17th from 3:00pm to 5:30pm.  Save your trash and bring it with you to make your own work of art.  (We'll have some pieces of trash to work with too.)  We'll even display it here at the library!

Steve Hyde The Magician on Tuesday, July 21st at 7pm for ages 4 and up.  Be amazed at Steve's tricks.  You'll go home wondering how did he do that?  You may even get to help out with a trick or two.

Teen Library Graffiti on Thursday, July 23rd from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  We'll give you a poster board and paint.  You use your imagination and talent to create a piece of graffiti with the words "Express Yourself" displayed on it.

Tween/Teen Movie Night will be held Friday, July 24^th at 6pm.  The last movie we showed was Twilight, so we’re sure Brian will be picking another good one.  Stop in to see what will be playing!

Instrument Petting Zoo on Saturday, July 25th from 10:30 to 11:30am for ages 3 and up.  Children will learn about various instruments and then get a chance to try them out.  You may be surprised to have a budding musician on your hands by the end of the program.

Rhythm Village on Thursday, July 30^th at 7:00pm for all ages.  Come together in a rhythm circle and begin to feel the beat together.  Everyone can take part, regardless of age or ability – it’s easy to create fascinating rhythms.  Don’t miss this lively program.

Tween/Teen Game Day on Friday, July 31^st at 6:00pm.  Bring a friend!  Teen coordinator Brian is waiting for a challenge.

Tween/Teen Duct Tape Crafts on Friday, August 7^th at 4:00pm.  Express your uniqueness!  Come make a wallet, tie, rose, or cell phone case out of colored duct tape.

Tween/Teen Game Night on Friday, August 14^th at 6:00pm.  We have lots of games to choose from.  Pick your favorites or try something new!
