Spring
(updated 6/11/10)

Summer Reading Program!
The Summer Reading Program is well under way with almost 190 children from pre-school all the way through teen signed up and reading a 'boatload' of books this summer!  It's not too late to sign up and remember, it's FREE!  Win prizes for reading library books, door prizes, participate in fun activities and much more.  A big thank you to our sponsors who help to make the program a success with their donations:  Myers Elementary and Muncy High School Staff and Faculty, Kellogg's, Subway, May's Restaurant, Trout Pond Park, and McDonald's.

We're even having an Adult Summer Contest.  Sign-up each time you stop in for a chance to win a Haywood's Gift Certificate.  Come and use your hometown library - we're here for you!

What's New

The Library has become a "community destination" for families thanks to an LSTA Grant.  With the grant, the library has purchased new colorful rugs, baby board books, books for preschoolers, puppets, puzzles, and games that families can now use for spending quality time together at the library.

The library will be "making waves" in next month's newsletter with information on our Summer Reading Program.  The program will be open to tall children from preschool through teen.  Win prizes for reading library books during the summer!  A 'boatload' of fun activities are planned too!

Donations

A donation was made in memory of Mary T Fontana by the Muncy Borough.  We give a big thank you to the Muncy High School Staff and Faculty for their donation from their dress down days to go towards our Summer Reading Program.
